We are looking for a Head of Fire Safety to take on a pivotal leadership role in driving proactive and risk-based fire safety design. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced fire engineering professional to make a real impact—leading fire safety strategies, influencing architectural and engineering teams, and ensuring the highest standards of fire safety in cutting-edge projects across the globe.

As the Head of Fire Safety, you will be at the forefront of fostering a fire-conscious culture, ensuring compliance with the latest regulations, and providing strategic oversight on fire safety designs. You will play a crucial role in shaping industry-leading fire safety solutions while collaborating with world-class architects and engineers to push the boundaries of innovative, safe, and sustainable designs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the Fire Safety Team—driving proactive, risk-based design methodologies within architectural and engineering groups.

  • Providing creative solutions that align with project fire safety objectives and seamlessly integrate with overall design.

  • Acting as the fire safety authority, offering expert guidance during technical reviews and ensuring compliance with the latest fire safety codes and standards.

  • Building and maintaining relationships across the organization to foster a culture of fire safety awareness.

  • Staying ahead of global fire regulations and industry advancements, bringing the latest insights to the team.

  • Leading fire engineering discussions, advising on construction, commissioning, and maintenance impacts.

  • Contributing to the growth and visibility of the Fire Safety Team, representing the organization at national and international fire safety events.

  • Reviewing and advising on fire engineering reports, design options, and risk assessments.

  • Providing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the team.

  • Acting as a key influencer, working closely with external fire engineers, clients, and regulatory bodies.

    What We’re Looking For:

  • Chartered status with a relevant institution.

  • Extensive experience in fire engineering, fire research, or safety design.

  • Strong leadership and management experience—able to drive change and inspire a team.

  • A deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, probabilistic risk analysis, and fire engineering principles.

  • Experience working with international fire safety regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to fire safety challenges.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage complex projects.

  • Familiarity with software tools such as FDS, CFAST, OZone, B-RISK, and structural analysis software.

  • Experience with advanced engineering methods such as CFD modeling, reliability analysis, and automation tools like Python, MATLAB, or R (desirable).
