Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, committed to helping our clients navigate complex challenges and drive meaningful change. Our culture is built on collaboration, integrity, and a shared commitment to excellence. We value diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a variety of perspectives fosters creativity and innovation. Our teams are composed of talented individuals who are not only experts in their fields but also passionate about making a difference.

Please Note: Oliver Wyman/MMC operates a hybrid working policy and we will require the successful candidate to work from the London Baker Street office at least 60% of the time.

Role Overview:

The Global Head of Knowledge Technology at Oliver Wyman will play a pivotal role within the senior leadership team, spearheading the strategic direction and operational management of all technology utilized by the knowledge team.

This position demands a visionary leader with a robust understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its transformative impact on the knowledge and information services industry. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in technology, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem, to enhance knowledge management processes and drive innovation.

As the Global Head of Knowledge Technology, you will be at the forefront of transforming how Oliver Wyman leverages technology to drive business impact. You will have the opportunity to shape the technology and systems that will have an impact on the future of the Knowledge function within a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about leveraging technology to revolutionize knowledge services and is excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact – someone who sees technology as a delivery mechanism, not as infrastructure – you’ll be focused on digital enablement and collaboration and pushing out data to the end user.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy for the knowledge team that aligns with Oliver Wyman’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance knowledge services and deliver value to Oliver Wyman and its clients.
  • Building a strong working relationship with the IT team within Oliver Wyman to understand developmental roadmaps and opportunities for leverage and success.
  • Overseeing the implementation and optimization of technology solutions, with a focus on Microsoft SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft suite, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the knowledge team.
  • Evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, to improve knowledge management practices and enhance search capabilities.

Search Expertise:

  • Leading initiatives to enhance search functionalities within knowledge systems, ensuring that information retrieval is efficient, effective, and user-friendly.
  • Collaborating with IT and knowledge management teams to develop and refine search algorithms and indexing strategies that improve access to information.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Interfacing with various stakeholders, including consultants, clients, and internal teams, to gather specific requirements and insights that inform technology development and deployment.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization to ensure that technology solutions are effectively utilized.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establishing metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of knowledge technology initiatives and their impact on business performance.
  • Regularly reporting on progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership and recommend adjustments as necessary.

Team Development:

  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Champion knowledge sharing and best practices within the team and across the organization.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • You’ll have a strong understanding of evolving technology trends with the Knowledge / Content sharing space, particularly in AI and data analytics.
  • We’re particularly interested in applications from individuals who are currently working within technology, content technology, social media, news media or consulting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels is essential.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead in a global, multicultural environment is expected.

Why join us at Oliver Wyman?

  • Collaborative Culture:We foster an environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are encouraged, allowing you to work alongside talented colleagues who inspire and challenge you.
  • Commitment to Diversity:We believe that diverse teams drive better outcomes. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute.
  • Focus on Innovation:At Oliver Wyman, we are at the forefront of technological advancements. You will have the opportunity to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies that transform knowledge management practices.
  • Career Development:We are committed to your professional growth. You will have access to mentorship, training programs, and opportunities to advance your career within a global organization.

Oliver Wyman is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
