Role Overview

Affinity Reply are Data Specialists and actively seek to grow and develop our consultants in the delivery of data solutions. Are you passionate about bridging the gap between the Business and IT through the lens of Data?

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to join our team and partner with leading financial services clients. You will leverage your deep understanding of the financial services industry and data architecture expertise to design and implement innovative solutions that empower clients to leverage their data as an asset.

In this role, you will collaborate with clients to assess their data needs, design data architectures, and develop roadmaps aligned to their business and data strategy. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the architecture is aligned to business goals while considering regulatory compliance.

Essential skills & experience

  1. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Financial Services Industry and how a well-designed data architecture can help organisations meet their business objectives.
  2. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, including designing scalable, efficient, and secure data systems.
  3. Expertise in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and ETL processes, specifically for financial services data.
  4. Proficiency in data modelling, both logical and physical; familiarity with data normalization and denormalization techniques is essential.
  5. Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions and experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Snowflake.
  6. Knowledge of advanced analytics tools, including creating dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable insights.
  7. Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data security best practices, with an emphasis on adhering to regulatory standards specific to financial services.
  8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business leaders in the financial services industry.
  9. A proactive approach to staying updated with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data architecture and Microsoft technologies.
  10. Degree qualified in an IT or Business subject.
