WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?


An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Data Architect to take ownership of designing, implementing, and evolving a comprehensive data environment for a leading organisation in the sports and entertainment space. This position will play a key role in developing scalable, high-performance data systems that power live analytics, performance insights, audience engagement, and strategic reporting. We’re looking for someone with a genuine enthusiasm for sports, strong expertise in data architecture, and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges within a dynamic, fast-moving setting.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Key responsibilities include designing data models for operational, analytical, and predictive needs, integrating diverse data sources such as wearables, CRM platforms, and live systems, and establishing strong data governance practices. The position involves close collaboration with technical teams to ensure reliable, accessible data, managing cloud-based infrastructure, enabling real-time analytics, and continuously exploring new technologies to drive innovation in the sports and entertainment space.


DATA ARCHITECT – ESSENTIAL SKILLS


  • Strong experience in data architecture, database design, or similar roles
  • Proven experience working on large-scale, complex data architecture projects
  • Skilled in designing and managing scalable data systems (warehouses, lakes, pipelines)
  • Proficient with cloud platforms (Google Cloud)
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and real-time data processing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling techniques
  • Familiar with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and governance
