The Planet Group have recently been engaged by a cutting-edge games developer to support them in hiring a Workday Systems Analyst to support BAU Finance operations.

Job Summary:

This role serves as a key system and department expert, leading projects, optimizing system functionality, and supporting data integrity across multiple teams. The position works independently and collaborates with others to enhance business processes and ensure smooth system operations.

Key Focus:

This role focuses on report creation, optimisation, release management and Workday Adaptive. The goal is to improve Workday finances deploying financial modules whilst collaborating with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for specific systems and departments.

  • Support projects including system implementations, updates, and change initiatives.

  • Develop and plan new system features, including creating roadmaps.

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of system data and databases.

  • Perform bulk data updates, clean-ups, imports/exports, and resolve data issues.

  • Design and build dashboards, reports, and analytical tools for regular and ad hoc use.

  • Improve business processes and system configurations for efficiency and data accuracy.

  • Build and manage basic to advanced system integrations.

  • Analyse data using new methods to support business decisions.

  • Prepare training materials, guides, and communications for system users.

  • Partner with leadership to: Validate that system features meet business needs. Prioritize and plan system enhancements. Develop proposals for new tools or improvements.

  • Manage system upgrades and changes, including planning, testing, and go-live support.

  • Write user stories and requirements to support system projects and vendor evaluations.

  • Ensure systems follow organizational policies and government regulations.

  • Act as the lead for high-level support issues (Tier 3), assist with advanced cases (Tier 4).

  • Facilitate discussions to understand user and business needs.

  • Coordinate with external partners to solve problems and update system changes.

  • Ensure data processes align with global standards.

  • Mentor team members and help train new hires.

  • Develop user training programs to support role-based system use.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
