Deliveroo Finance is delivering a transformation programme to ensure the teams, processes and systems across Finance are optimally configured to best support the company in the execution of its strategy to achieve growth and profitability. The role will report into the Senior Finance Business Analyst supporting Finance systems, data and process for a number of projects within this programme.

What you’ll be doing

Developing a detailed master data strategy and plan Mapping data sets to master data + cleansing/enriching/transformation requirements Collating and enriching data in line with agreed data standards Undertaking data comparison’s on large data sets using SQL Conducting data collection, cleansing, mapping, and re-formatting activities  Validating and reconciling data loads to confirm data integrity Developing resolutions to problems, using sharp judgement to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to enable delivery of solutions

Requirements

Key competencies/skills: 

Prior experience in Snowflake, Looker, SQL  Experience in Financial systems Quantitative knowledge and skills, training in maths and statistics; Experience in leading data science projects and delivering from end to end; Experience in data management and data analysis in relational databases and in the latest 3rd party data analytics software; Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem solving and critical thinking capabilities Strong understanding of concepts and Technologies including data transfer mechanisms Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences Collaborative nature to share knowledge with peersApplying a Structured Approach -able to ensure best practice approach, bringing a ‘toolkit’ of templates.Big Picture Vision- to zoom out from what is currently done and see why it is we need to do it. Able to quickly draw parallels and consolidate activities from diverse activities.Analytical Mindset- to break down monolithic problems into clearly distinct and digestible issues and then identify options to resolve them.Stakeholder Partnership- to engage, influence and excite a varied team from across multiple business units and help instil a joint feeling of ownership and pride. Effective Communicator- to build and sustain effective communications with the project team and end-users. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.Flexible Approach- tailor expert knowledge to meet specific circumstances.
