We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team based in Cardiff. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in finance or accounts, looking to grow their career in a collaborative and forward-thinking workplace-with the added bonus of free on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day running of the finance department, focusing on the purchase ledger and sales ledger.

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

Update and manage financial spreadsheets and databases to ensure data integrity.

Assist in the preparation and ongoing monitoring of departmental and company-wide budgets.

Track expenditure and reconcile against budget allocations.

Help prepare regular financial reports, statements, and summaries.

Assist with internal and external audits by compiling required documentation.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Keep up to date with relevant financial legislation and best practice.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with reporting requirements.

Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to support efficient financial processes.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a finance assistant or similar role.

Working knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero preferred).

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.

Strong understanding of financial reporting and budget tracking.
