An overview of the role
You will work on high profile, impactful projects which will help our clients deliver scalable energy infrastructure to help the UK transition to a low carbon, sustainable future. Our consultants bring Energy Distribution/Transmission Industry experience, a strong business improvement skillset, an understanding of how digitisation of core business processes can reduce the total cost to serve for our clients and deliver on their regulatory/stakeholder commitments.
We work collaboratively with clients at all levels of an organisation and across all directorates to help them de-fine the key foundations and capabilities to set up their businesses for success as the energy systems transitions towards Net Zero. Starting with the end in mind, we blend deep industry insight with the use of emerging technologies and techniques to help our clients create a digital workforce and more integrated ways of working. We move from ‘idea to action’ quickly and build confidence along the digital journey to help our clients success-fully deliver critical energy infrastructure and operations. Many of our clients are some of the largest asset in-tensive organisations in the Energy & Utilities Sector, who own and operate vast network asset portfolios UK-wide.

No matter the project or customer, your work will have a meaningful impact on society, businesses and lives. It’s really rewarding. And it’s also really varied. You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.
Why this role?
You will help our clients design and develop solutions which digitise and optimise processes across the value chain, across a variety of directorates. You will form part of an experienced and flexible project delivery team who have real life industry transformation experience, helping clients to realise benefits and transform processes, operations and behaviours which will lead to improved efficiency, improved customer experience and improved business outcomes.
Key activities may include (either leading/managing or executing as part of a project team):
Business Process modelling and documenting required procedures. Work with Product Leads and take primary responsibility for understanding and representing the busi-ness requirements to IT teams (internal and external suppliers). Bridge business requirements and IT solutions ensuring compliance with best practice solutions. Work with solution development teams throughout to ensure requirements are understood and the delivered solution meets business expectation. Establish that any proposed solution is fit for purpose and is delivered through programme governance. Support testing phases by coordinating between various IT/ business team (internal and external sup-pliers and stakeholders) and reviewing test cases. Work with business users to define User stories, User Acceptance Testing criteria, define test scripts and assist the business in running these scripts. Feed into reports for business sponsors and programme management teams, showing progress against outstanding milestones, issues, risks, and dependencies. Generate and define new ideas for change projects/business improvements based on sound under-standing of key business challenges and opportunities. Proactive identification of improvements to the working methods and practices of client teams Produce training materials by engaging with project stakeholders. Develop Business Change Impact Assessment and Data Protection Impact Assessment. Involvement in implementation and Go-Lives by providing inputs into deployment approach. Involvement in Service Transition to BAU by producing KT articles and related artefacts.
Why You
You will have experience working in a consultancy or deploying internal improvement initiatives within an organisation, and a strong understanding and experience in asset and material management. You will understand the industry best practice to support clients in the optimisation of construction and operational asset management programmes.
In addition, you’ll have the following specific experience:
Employing agile ways of working. Shaping, managing, and/or delivering projects in Networks and Smart grid Industry experience preferably in the Electricity/Gas DNO, DSO, TO space
