Job Title: Divisional People Partner

Location: National Role (with regular travel and overnight stays required)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: From £45,000 per annum + great company benefits!

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experience Divisional People Partner to join our company to work with one of our major UK supermarket contracts.

The People Partner will be at their best, working with the senior leadership team within a specific business unit to deliver a people strategy, which adds true value by underpinning the business unit and Group objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

People

  • Develop strong partnering relationships with the key stakeholders, working with them to drive the people agenda and, ultimately, business objectives.

  • Build the people management capability within the business unit, through effective coaching, challenging, and influencing.

  • Lead the engagement and culture agenda, working with key stakeholders within your business unit to ensure effective listening, using both qualitive and quantitative data to effectively develop and deliver engagement action plans which ultimately drive performance improvement.

  • Work with line managers to actively identify training and development needs, sourcing and delivering appropriate solutions.

    Process

  • Work closely with operational partners and the people service centre to effectively manage recruitment, onboarding, absence, employee relations and training within the business unit, ensuring compliance with any relevant policies and processes.

  • Analyse data and use MI to identify trends and develop action plans with key stakeholders to drive performance improvement across the key people metrics (e.g., attrition, mandatory training, absence, engagement, etc).

  • Actively manage remuneration, reward, and recognition processes for the business unit.

    Performance

  • Support your business unit leaders to deliver effective talent management and succession planning processes within your business unit, working with key stakeholders to identify top talent and ensure robust succession and development plans are in place.

  • Act as the performance improvement driver, managing the delivery of an effective end to end appraisal process through the line management team, within your business unit.

  • Participate in / lead key people projects, as required.

    Qualifications / Experience:
    Essential

    Degree qualified in Human Resource Management or qualified by experience.

    Full driving license

    The ideal candidate:

    Experience in a multi-site business partnering role is essential.

    Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice is essential.

    Strong PC literacy, experienced in extracting and collating management information, analysing and manipulating data, and presenting reports.

    Proven change management and the ability to demonstrate the successful delivery of people projects, is essential.

    Excellent influencing and communication skills. Comfortable managing, and presenting to senior stakeholders to gain commitment and advocacy for people plans, business change initiatives, transformational activity, and projects.

    Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, operating and delivering within a fast-paced and changing business environment. Able to demonstrate resilience at times of high pressure.

    Able to demonstrate empathy and the integrity to deal with sensitive and personal information during times of change and business improvement.

    Excellent planning, organising, and prioritisation skills; strong results focus.

    Effective problem-solving and decision-making, highly flexible and self-starting.

    Strong commercial / business acumen.
