WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Director, Data & Cloud Architecture to lead the design, strategy, and implementation of our data and cloud infrastructure. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud and data ecosystems that align with the organization’s business and technology goals. You will collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business leaders to ensure that our systems support data-driven decision-making and meet the demands of a modern, cloud-native enterprise.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

What will you be doing:

  1. Define and execute the organization’s data and cloud architecture strategy, aligning it with business objectives and long-term goals.
  2. Develop architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies for cloud platforms, data infrastructure, and integrations.
  3. Lead the design and adoption of a cloud-native architecture that supports scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  4. Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize initiatives that leverage data and cloud capabilities to drive value.
  5. Design and implement a modern data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
  6. Ensure data platforms support advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence requirements.
  7. Oversee data integration, data modeling, and data governance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  8. Establish policies for data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all data assets.
  9. Architect and oversee cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
  10. Drive the adoption of cloud-native tools and technologies, including serverless computing, microservices, and container orchestration.
  11. Implement cost-optimization strategies to ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
  12. Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  1. Experience in data architecture, cloud infrastructure, or related roles, experience in a leadership or director-level position.
  2. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data and cloud architectures.
  3. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  4. Experience with modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and real-time data processing.
  5. Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration tools.
  6. Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance for data and cloud platforms.
  7. Hands-on experience with analytics and machine learning platforms/tools is a plus.
  8. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
