Job Description: Database Administrator (DBA Developer)

The Database Administrator (DBA Developer) at everyLIFE Technologies will report to the Head of Data & Business Intelligence and will be proactive in securing and operating databases and ensuring that the data is correctly stored and retrieved. They will be expected to work with developers in the design and implementation of upcoming features and troubleshooting. They will be keen to help, eager to learn, with a friendly attitude and a ‘can do’ approach to tasks.

Location:Remote or Farnborough Head Office (Remote/hybrid/office options all available)

Working Hours:Full time

You will:

  • Have an ownership of your work and take pride in its quality
  • Manage our database administration and the flow of data from AWS services
  • Support with data engineering activities and deployments
  • Perform development on data cleaning using SDLC approaches
  • Investigate and drive optimisation of data processes and performance
  • Be comfortable working remotely, interacting with and presenting to colleagues using Teams video call, as well as liaising by phone and email
  • Actively participate in team meetings
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties as and when requested/required


You have:

  • 3+ years previous relevant experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience working with some or all of the following dbm systems Snowflake, MySQL, DBT.
  • Experience of relational database management and development work outside of Database Administration.
  • Working experience of cloud-based systems, AWS, Azure or equivalent.
  • Worked in a team with developers in Agile approach
  • Researched and implemented a change in approach on refactoring or optimizing outdated approaches
  • Good understanding of data security


You may have:

  • Experience/knowledge of the care industry
  • Experience with Python
  • Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools
  • Working experience with APIs and development
