A well respected Insurance firm is looking to hire a Data Science Manager to be responsible for defining the strategic data requirements for delivery of data consumption use cases. You will be comfortable interacting with all front-line underwriters, data engineers and technology departments. You will need to capture, prioritise and document business and technical requirements, leading to the deployment of automated, optimised and highly effective analytics solutions. This all-round knowledge will be key to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the Data Analytics and Actuarial teams. You will also need to contribute to management and board level reports and demonstrate strong team management skills.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Have strong management track recordHave proven stakeholder management including engagement with technical experts and senior managementBe an expert in data science techniquesAdvanced programming skills (Python an advantage)Strong statistical, data manipulation and data analysis skillsStrong academic backgroundExperience in dealing with Data Engineers, Architects and Technology experts7+ years' Data Science / Actuarial experience, preferably in a Lloyd's environmentHighly proficient in required IT packagesGood organisation and planningGood written and face to face communication skillsExperience in a similar role supporting the development of data consumption use casesExperience working with Azure data technology stack such as Data Factory, SQL, Synapse Analytics, PowerBI an advantageTPBN1_UKTJ
