Main duties of the job

We're offering an opportunity to join UHS Digital and to make a difference to patients, staff, and the organisation, through the provision of analytics, data, and insight.

The Data Flows team is looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join their team. You will be joining the organisation as we procure and implement a new set of BI tools and an associated data warehouse, working with a team of Specialist & Advanced Analysts in one of the largest acute NHS Trusts in the country.

You will be responsible for partnering with a variety of colleagues across operations, clinical, financial & digital services to contribute to the delivery of the team's objectives. These will be achieved by producing and presenting insightful information, completing reports in an accurate and concise format and monitoring of performance against local and national targets.

Job responsibilities

Your role will involve working closely with the colleagues within the Data Flows Team and the Trust to support the collection, processing, analysis and reporting of key trust patient activity. You will be expected to work to a strict timetable to deliver reporting flows on time in line with internal and external expectations.

A key part of this role is monitoring activity, investigating discrepancies, and providing support and guidance to administration staff to ensure a high quality of Trust data.

This role will suit an experienced information analyst who is passionate about analytics, to support high quality patient care and the clinical services.

The successful applicant will:

Aptitudes and skills required

Essential

Qualifications / training required

Good level of education to Level 4 diploma or equivalent work experience in application training and support.

Previous or relevant experience necessary

Knowledge of customer/patient flows Good knowledge and understanding of Data Protection issues Has adapted, created, and implemented policy and procedures within their team Experience delivering work to timescales and deadlines. Expertise and experience in dealing with identifiable data and commercially sensitive data. Has provided training support and resources to wider team and product implementation PC computing environment including the use of desktop software

Desirable

Experience of NHS and Acute Trust patient flows and administration Experience in using Patient Administration Systems (PAS) specifically waiting list, admission, outpatient, and emergency areas Experience and expertise in an information-based role within a corporate setting. Demonstrable use of Information Systems and associated reporting tools eg. Microsoft Power Bi Able to demonstrate extensive experience of data investigation and communication of findings Experience of training people how to use software / systems / information Has produced or interpreted data visualisations within a professional capacity
