Data Modeller - HybridMy client is a seeking a Data Modeller to join the Governance and Design department, where you'll collaborate with a small team of data design professionals to drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across our organisation. Your expertise in data modelling, from context to logical models, will be crucial in delivering actionable insights through Power BI dashboards.Key Responsibilities:* Create conceptual, logical, and dimensional models, along with supporting intellectual property.* Produce data models appropriate to the business needs for all key information along with the definitions of all data elements and associated business rules including the security classification of these elements and publish these as business glossaries, data dictionaries and other artefacts for the guidance of the organisation leveraging relevant external data standards as appropriate* Translate data model concepts into forms that are understandable for audiences from senior stakeholders to engineering team members, flexing communication style as required* Produce conceptual and logical dimensional models to support analysis and decision support using BI and Analytics with a data lake/data warehouse. * Review the end-to-end data lifecycle / process (creation to archive) for data assets across all business processes using service design / business process flow diagrams from the process team and others to determine interdependencies and enable data sharing and system interoperability.Required Skills and Experience:* Extensive experience with advanced modelling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, or Sparx Enterprise Architect to capture conceptual, logical data models etc.* Proficiency in creating logical models for star schemas.* Comprehensive understanding of DAMA Data management framework with specialisms in Knowledge Areas: Data Architecture, Data Modelling and Design , Reference and Master Data, DW & BI, Metadata Management, Data Quality.* Competent in best practice for designing complex E-R models and complex datamart models using INMON / Kimball methodology* Experience in SQL databases and database querying languages is preferred.* Knowledge of advanced dimensional and relational modelling best practices.* Understanding of broader data governance and management frameworks.In accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, this position is advertised based upon DGH Recruitment Limited having first sought approval of its client to find candidates for this position.DGH Recruitment Limited acts as both an Employment Agency and Employment Business
