Your future team

The business is an established organisation in the Risk Modelling and Analytical services market. We pride ourselves on our ability to identify and develop innovative solutions for our clients, continually driving performance and service standards thereby cultivating long-term client relationships.

The Data Team is integral to the formulation of these solutions. With a focus on continuous improvement, the team has wide experience in designing and delivering data solutions for our clients. We work closely with clients and all members of the team interact with our customers directly on a daily basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a data specialist to work across credit risk projects and broaden out their knowledge. Experience can be taken also into the Insurance domain.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge by working with an innovative team of like-minded people, not only focusing on toolsets and approaches but also on changes within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete projects set by line manager and the business accurately and within the scope and deadlines set.
  • Deliver own analysis and data projects and work with others in the team to deliver larger projects as required.
  • Present and discuss results with senior management.
  • Work with operational managers to test the effectiveness of existing and new business strategies and synthesise the results with other knowledge to recommend new strategies and plans.
  • Undertake ad hoc activities as required.
  • Ensure all data is managed securely, maintained appropriately and analysed correctly in line with Data Protection legislation and industry regulation.
  • Work within the company Health and Safety policy.


Requirements

  • Experience with Data Management (Data Quality, Data Lineage, Critical Data Element, End User Computing, Data Domains, and Metadata Management).
  • Background in Risk.
  • Experience writing Data Policies and Standards.
  • Having industry-accredited qualifications such as DAMA or CDMP is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience establishing a data governance framework e.g. committee structures, terms of reference, tolerances and metrics.
  • Experience embedding a data management operating model e.g. Developing RACI's, stakeholder management skills, writing job profiles.
  • Working in a fast-paced delivery environment essential.
  • Exposure to contributing to IRB, BCBS 239 and regulatory change projects in the data phase an advantage.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship skills - good communicator: verbal, written, and bringing results and recommendations to life. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about the business impact of analysis, driven by continuous improvement and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in effective management of a large-scale team, preferably within a transformation project.
  • Proven capability relating to Operating Model for data lineage and data quality using tools such as Collibra and IGC an advantage.
  • Ability to proactively identify areas for improving the Data Team capability. Commercially minded with demonstrated ability of proposition development.

Salary dependant on experience plus:
