Flexsource NI is currently recruiting for a Data Governance Manager on a full time, temporary contract. 

Requirements

Develop and implement a robust organisation-wide data governance framework, policies, and procedures. Lead initiatives to ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, metadata management, and lifecycle governance. Ensure full compliance with relevant data protection and information legislation, including UK GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act. Coordinate and support data stewardship across departments, providing guidance and oversight. Promote best practices in data management Oversee the development and maintenance of data catalogues and metadata repositories. Engage with internal stakeholders to promote a strong culture of data responsibility. Deliver training and awareness initiatives to improve data literacy across the organisation. Monitor adherence to governance policies through audits and performance reporting. Support open data and transparency goals by ensuring data outputs are of high quality and accessible to stakeholders.

Requirements:

·Proven experience in leading data governance implementation within a complex organisation

·Strong understanding of data architecture, relational databases, data warehouses, and master data management principles

·Associate Certified Data Management Professional or equivalent Professional body

·Experience working in agile teams, in particular scrum and Kanban
