What we are looking for?

We are looking for individuals with either of the following skills:

  1. Demonstrable exposure to NoSql Databases (Cassandra/Couchbase) in the workplace. Ideally with some experience with RDBMS (Oracle 19c/Postgres 15/SqlServer). Ability to work closely with application development teams (db placement, database design, query tuning, DDL promotion, db upgrades, troubleshooting) and providing 3rd Line Production Support. Essential candidate is self-motivated and willing to pick up new DB challenges. Ideally used to working in an Agile environment (familiarity with Jira, Rally, Kanban, Confluence experience an advantage), good English communication skills, DevOps skills (GIT, Liquibase, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins) a bonus. Exposure to DB in the Cloud if possible but not essential. Ability to think outside the box and not depend on runbooks. May be required to work outside normal working hours to work with teams in India, UK and US.

How will you make an impact in this role?

We are looking for someone to grow into supporting current and emerging Database technologies working closely with Applications teams to choose, develop and support new and established Projects to be performant, secure and scalable. The successful candidate must be able to understand the business need and the best way to make this a reality.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate/Postgraduate qualifications in an IT-related area. 3+ years experience of working with Databases to a good level and ideally previously worked in a financial company/fintech.

Preferred Qualifications

Current Certifications in the relevant database areas.
