Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a bright and ambitious candidate to work within Dentsu Data Lab’s fast growing Data Insights & Visualization unit. 

Working with a leading retail business you will be owning their entire Data Visualization framework, from the data collection and transformation to the front-end dashboarding solutions, which are constantly evolving, as activity and technologies progress. 

This role will involve co-ordinating projects through collaborating and connecting teams across dentsu. You will be responsible for managing this project and its multiple stakeholders, along with taking ownership of the quality and accuracy of reporting. 

A solid experience of Tableauis a must, with additional knowledge of tools such as those present in the Google Marketing Stack and Meta, and/or exposure to ETL solutions such as Datorama or Adverity a positive for the role. All in all, you will be a strong, hands-on data specialist with broad knowledge spanning from data engineering to insights-motivated data visualization. 

You will need to be tech-savvy, a self starter and have a flair for problem solving as you will be tasked with complex projects from day 1.

Key Responsibilities

Front- and Back-end management of our main client’s dashboarding solutions in close co-operation with end-users 

Project and stakeholder management regarding evolutions of those solutions based on requests or needs  Involvement in other data-related projects with other team members, to broaden your understanding of DDL’s various activities and portfolio 

We anticipate the scope of this role to increase as our client’s analytics needs become more sophisticated. We will also provide opportunities to work in other areas across the business including attribution modelling. 

This varied role requires a blend of raw technical skills and an eye for data. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided but we expect the candidate to be able to pick up new skills quickly.

Personal Specification 

Strong analytical skills ideally coupled with creative approaches to problem solving  Ability to explain technical data and concepts to a non-technical audience  Strong attention to detail  Ability to juggle several tasks at once and consistently deliver to high quality and to timescale.  Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally  Understanding and adding value to our and our client’s business  Ability to take responsibility for own work; to make sure that others deliver in support of you if required.  Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team  Proactive and innovative mindset highly regarded.  Experience in creating and presenting to internal and/or external teams preferred but not required. 

Qualification / Technical Skills / Experience: 

2 years previous experience within a Data Visualisation or BI roleStrong Tableau experience is essential Strong knowledge of the applications within the Microsoft Office Suite  Understanding of basic ETL workflows and knowledge of an ETL solution such as Adverity or Datorama highly regarded  Basic knowledge of at least some digital/marketing fields e.g. PPC, Display, Social, Affiliates Understanding of how ad-serving works  Understanding of web analytics tools such as Adobe Site Catalyst
