Job Title: Data & Analytics Team Lead

Job Overview:The Data & Analytics Team Lead will oversee the delivery of business-critical dashboards and reports focused on field service operations. This includes driving the analysis of key performance indicators (e.g first time fix metrics, engineer working time on site, etc) & supporting data-driven decision-making in field service operations.

Overseeing a team of analysts, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of field service reporting, providing actionable insights to stakeholders, and fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.


There is an existing suite of Power BI reports, the team lead will have a proven ability to quickly understand existing solutions and improve them to meet stakeholder needs. Alongside managing the team, you will also need to be hands-on with Power BI dashboard development, using SQL to pull data, owning stakeholder relationships and overseeing the Power BI infrastructure.


This role will suit a professional who demonstrates strong leadership skills and hands-on analytical skills. There’s potential for this role to evolve and expand the team's scope into new areas such as IoT-based field service metrics or the development of new reporting and data tools.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Dashboard development / technical hands-on: Building new reports for the business, supporting data modeling, setting up new data ETL processes.
  • Lead a team of analysts, and provide guidance and performance feedback to help the team support the business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on dashboard development and data issues.
  • Ensure reports are built in efficient and effective manners, and establish best practices to allow self-service reporting.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and tools, actively drive changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain the Fabric environment, Power BI workspaces and Power BI semantic models
  • Travel to office locations (1-2 times per month) to lead data workshops, deliver dashboard support and build relationships with stakeholders.


Experience Required:


  • Proficiency in Power BI(analysing and visualising data) and SQL (pulling and storing data), with a strong understanding of data ingestion, storage, and modelling best practices.
  • Proven experience leading a technical team, within a data / BI setting.
  • Provide consistent communication to stakeholders across the business, ensure alignment between data team activity and business requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and take a flexible approach to assigning actions/resources.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to data quality, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Fabric, Cosmos DB and data lakehouse best practices would be advantageous
