Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Near Attleborough

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: c£50,000

We're working with a forward-thinking engineering and technology business based near Attleborough that is looking to appoint a Cost Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth organisation.

As the business moves through a period of rapid scale-up and ERP implementation, the role will be key in delivering clear financial insight, driving margin improvements, and enhancing cost control processes. This position offers regular exposure to senior leadership and collaboration across engineering, sales, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse and report on project, production, material, labour, and overhead costs
Perform margin and profitability analysis across products and projects
Support revenue recognition and compliance with reporting standards
Manage and reconcile inventory, providing insight and resolving discrepancies
Develop and maintain accurate product costing models
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data and support decision-making
Support R&D finance activities, including grant claims and intangible asset reporting
Play a key role in ERP implementation, data integrity, and process improvement
What We're Looking For

Qualified or QBE Accountant with solid cost accounting experience
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or R&D environments
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
Confident communicator able to work across functions
Experience working with ERP systems and data migration
