Position:  Finance Business Partner - Operations Cost

Location: Manchester - Hybrid, 1 day per week on-site

The Role

As an Operations Cost Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in delivering best-in-class cost analysis, reporting, and planning across the Markerstudy Group, with a focus on Operations. You will provide senior stakeholders and directors with timely, accurate insights into the cost base and strategic investments, while working closely with the Operations team to identify, validate, and deliver cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Operations management team to identify and develop opportunities, support business case creation, and track delivery.

Produce high-quality month-end and forecast reports with clear commentary and variance analysis.

Use KPIs to challenge and improve business cost performance.

Support budgeting and rolling forecasts, covering FTE, staff, and non-staff costs.

Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders and directors across the Group.

Work alongside the Finance team to ensure consistency and shared knowledge.

Provide ad hoc analysis and investigate cost performance issues to improve business intelligence.

Partner with the Controllership team on month-end results, journals, and accruals.

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).

Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including with non-finance stakeholders.

Ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Skilled at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

High integrity and credibility with senior leadership.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

A proactive team player with a self-starting attitude.

Desirable

Previous experience in business partnering and cost planning, ideally within Operations.

Degree-level qualification.
