Finance Manager

The role:

As a Junior Finance Executive at ZTP you will be part of a small team working on the accounts of ZTP’s clients. This involves ensuing transactions are input in an accurate and timely manner. The role involves liaising directly with suppliers, and internal staff. The role may also be called to assist in the development of ZTP accounts. The role reports into the Treasury Accountant.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Purchase Ledger: Record and process all supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation to cost centres. Manage downloads from ZTP systems into the accounts system. Maintain client lists.

    *Maintain Creditor Accounts: Ensure creditor accounts are maintained correctly for contact details and bank accounts are verified.

    *Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts and supplier statements, and help resolve discrepancies promptly.

    *Payment Processing: Help prepare electronic transfers, payments, and check payments. Ensure all payments are made within agreed credit terms.

    *Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, maintain up-to-date records, and ensure data integrity.

    *Communication: Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues. Maintain effective communication to ensure smooth financial transactions.

    *Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, i and assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.

    *Ad hoc Duties: Assist with other financial tasks and projects as needed.

    Experience and Skills Required:

    *Technical Skills: The role would suit a person with at least three years experience on managing ledgers and possible looking to progress on an accounting qualification
    Knowledge of Iplicit accounting software is desirable but not essential. Experience on purchase ledger is essential. Microsoft Excel skills are required.

    *Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify anomalies is essential.

    *Attention to Detail: Precise reconciliation of accounts is expected.

    *Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical issues, troubleshoot system errors, and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.

    *Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external contacts in a professional manner.

    *Organization and Time Management: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    *Learning Agility: Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to change, and to assist others in their understanding.

    *Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work culture.

    Education and Qualification Requirements:

    *A-Levels

    *GCSE's (English & Maths)

    *Bachelors Degree would be desired/advantageous

    Other Characteristics:

    *Willingness to accept other duties as assigned.

    *Ability to travel and to work overtime as needed.

    *Must be able to work with sensitive and highly confidential information.
