Commercial Analyst - Product Marketing

3 Month Contract - Immediate start available

£23.00 per hour

Based ONSITE in Chandos Street, London

Contechs are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team.

You will be supporting the team in shaping the commercial strategy and business plan. This contractor role combines data analysis, financial modelling, and cross-functional collaboration to provide a clear view of demand, supply, cost structures, and market dynamics to maximise on the Alternative Revenue’s revenue generation. The successful candidate will deliver insight that drives decision-making across product development, international pricing, product range and inventory planning.

This role is a Fixed-term/Contract for 3 months

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Business Planning & Financial Modelling

  • Support the Director of Alternative Revenue in building robust business plans, integrating commercial assumptions, demand forecasts, supply inputs, and margin targets.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate revenue potential, pricing strategies, cost-to-serve, and investment scenarios.

  • Provide clear, data-driven insights to inform strategic planning and go-to-market decisions.

    Costing & Margin Analysis

  • Partner with Buying, Sourcing, and Product teams to evaluate product costs and ensure alignment with margin expectations.

  • Build cost-to-wholesale price and MSRP tools that support decision-making around pricing and profitability.

    Market & Competitor Benchmarking

  • Conduct regular analysis of competitor ranges, pricing models, and international market positioning.

  • Identify commercial gaps, best practices, and new opportunities in key markets.

  • Present actionable insights to shape offer development, pricing alignment, and product positioning.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Director and colleagues in Finance, merchandising, the Motorcycle accessories team, the international sales and procurement team to ensure aligned commercial planning.

  • Contribute to new product development (NPD) by providing early-stage financial assessments and competitive analysis.

  • Act as a key point of contact for data-led insights to guide cross-functional initiatives.

    Personal Specification:

    Required:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Commercial Analyst in a product-led environment (e.g. automotive, apparel, lifestyle, or consumer goods).

  • Proven ability to build and maintain financial models to inform business planning.

  • Strong understanding of demand/supply dynamics and commercial decision-making.

  • Advanced Excel skills and fluency with business intelligence tools

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a commercial mindset.
