About the role

We’re on the lookout for a BI Lead to own and shape our Business Intelligence capability across Buyagift and Red Letter Days. This is a brilliant opportunity to lead on defining our reporting frameworks, collaborate with teams across the business, and deliver dashboards that drive decision-making and data fluency.

You'll work hands-on with SQL and Power BI, manage one direct report, and act as product owner for our BI tooling — all while raising the bar for data insight across the business.

You'll be joining a team where you can make a real impact, helping shape how we use data to empower smarter decisions from product to marketing and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the BI data insight function across Buyagift and Red Letter Days
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across Buying, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Product, and Trading
  • Define reporting architecture and develop automated reports and dashboards in SQL and Power BI
  • Act as product owner for Power BI and champion best practices
  • Drive data literacy through training, support, and collaboration
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering and Tech teams to ensure data platform alignment
  • Support ad hoc data extraction, modelling, and insights
  • Line manage a junior BI Analyst and occasionally oversee BI contractors

About you:

  • Ideally 5+ years in analytics, BI, or data visualisation roles
  • Hands-on experience in ecommerce environments
  • Advanced SQL coding and Power BI skills
  • Confident stakeholder manager with experience defining requirements
  • Excellent communicator who can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and structured in managing priorities
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics (preferred)
  • Previous line management or retail experience is a plus
