Joining us on aPermanent Full time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of£70,000 per annumplus excellent benefits.About the roleAs Data Architect you will be responsible for defining and driving the organisation’s architecture for data utilisation to meet business objectives while ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and security standards. Leveraging Microsoft Azure’s data platform capabilities, the Data Architect designs and implements scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

Design and implement data solutions on Azure, using a range of services like Azure SQL Database, Data Factory, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, Stream Analytics, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB and more Making informed decisions on the strategic direction and roadmap for the use and implementation of cloud platforms and DevOps methodologies. Design scalable and efficient data models, metadata systems, and data catalogues aligned with business objectives. Define data migration and integration approaches, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and security of enterprise data. Implement and enforce data governance practices across the organisation, setting standards and policies for data architecture. Optimise performance and resolve issues to ensure data accessibility and responsiveness. Provide guidance and oversight to project teams on data architecture and management of the full data product lifecycle. Collaborate with solution architects, enterprise architects, and business teams to align technical solutions with organisational goals.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role In-depth understanding of database structure principles Experience with Azure data technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Cosmos DB, PowerBI & SQL BSc in Computer Science, IT or relevant field Ideally based in Exeter, or out of our Bristol or Redhill office.
