A professional services firm who are scaling rapidly through acquisition, are looking for an Enterprise Data Architect to join their team in Stoke on Trent as they embark on a major transformation.

With ambitious growth plans, you'll join during phase 1 of a multi-year strategy to unify and modernise their data, cloud, and tech set-up, including the move from on-prem legacy systems to the cloud (which will most likely be Azure).

Reporting into their new CIO/CTO, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing their enterprise-wide data strategy - requiring visionary thinking, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and also brilliant hands-on technical ability.

Please note this role is fully office-based, 5 days a week in Stoke on Trent, in line with their highly collaborative and close-knit culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assessing the current data estate across on-prem, cloud, and legacy systems
Designing and implementing a scalable, future-proof data architecture
Leading the migration from legacy tools (e.g., SSIS, SSRS) to modern platforms like Azure Data Factory and Power BI
Collaborating across cloud, tech, and data teams to align strategies
Enabling the business to become AI-ready by optimising data flows and governance
Getting hands-on to deliver your strategy - this isn't just a whiteboard role!Experience Required:

Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect in a complex, multi-system environment
Strong technical background with the ability to roll up your sleeves when needed
Experience with Azure (or cloud-agnostic mindset)
Deep understanding of data integration, modernisation, and governance
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skillsThis is a permanent role, and offers a salary of up to £120,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
