Location: Hybrid role based in Winnersh Triangle, 3 days in the office.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role.

Overview

The Junior Product Data Analyst (Fixed Term Contract) supports the delivery and quality of our eCommerce product data across a prescribed sub-set of activities. This entry-level role focuses on product content accuracy, taxonomy application, identifier research, and timely execution of defined product data tasks within client and project set-ups, while also supporting existing clients’ data updates to ensure account excellence throughout the contract. This role will suit a university graduate seeking their first corporate job or someone who has A-levels in Maths.

ResponsibilitiesProduct Data Management for Assigned Projects
  • Perform a defined sub-set of product data tasks to support eCommerce and retailer data products.
  • Action assigned tasks accurately and on time, following agreed processes and procedures.
  • Identify missing or incorrect product information, validate product identifiers (EAN, UPC, RPC), brands, manufacturers, and client taxonomies.
  • Escalate issues or questions to senior team members when clarification is needed.
Product Data Tasks Organisation and Monitoring.
  • Update task progress in JIRA and internal tracking tools according to project timelines.
  • Monitor completion of assigned tasks, ensuring timely communication in Slack and other team channels.
  • Follow team processes and standards for all assigned product data tasks.
Support for Existing Clients
  • Assist with data updates for existing clients under supervision, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Escalate any data discrepancies or blockers to senior colleagues promptly.
Learning and Development
  • Take responsibility for understanding the tools, processes, and systems used for product data management.
  • Build familiarity with internal standards for product data accuracy and completeness.
Qualified candidates will possessEducation & Experience
  • Recent graduate or first-role entrant in product data, analytics, eCommerce, or technical/business discipline
  • No prior commercial experience required
Skills & Abilities
  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, lookups, filtering, basic data manipulation)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to follow defined processes and instructions precisely
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English
  • Quick learner, able to pick up processes and systems efficiently
  • Comfortable working under supervision within a team environment
