Futureheads have partnered with a leading InsurTech Scale up who are growing out their Data team. The business have grown immensely in the past 3 years with their data team alone growing to 75+.

The role doesn't require industry experience but as a rapid scale up having experience of being in smaller organisations will benefit you due to the pace and ever changing environments. The entire system relies on AWS and over time they have focused on automation, they have pioneered in using Docker and their core backend is mostly developed in Elixir or Rust.

This role can be located in the following areas:

• UK - fully remote (with an option for Hybrid in London)
• Spain - fully remote
• Italy - fully remote

To be considered for this role you need to have the following tools/skills:

• Experience with ETL management tools (dbt preferred) and/or frameworks like Spark
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and Python
• You are passionate about data management and you are willing to learn business concepts related to insurance
• You like to "do things in the right way" by using patterns, practicing refactoring, and following coding standards
• You have experience in the world of Data Mesh and its supporting concepts of Domain Driven Design and Event Sourcing.

You will need to be able to demonstate strong SQL skills which will be assessed at interview with pair programming and technical assessment.
