Senior Analytics Engineer – (Hampshire)

With ambitious growth plans, they are expanding their product teams and seeking aSenior Analytics Engineerto develop advanced modelling techniques, extract meaningful data insights, and create powerful analysis tools.

About the Role

Working closely with product, design, and software teams, you will lead the development ofsimulation and analytical modelsthat support decision-making for fleet electrification and transport optimisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developingdigital-twin modelsto simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Creatingnew algorithms and analytical techniquesto extract key insights.
  • Researchingemerging trends in EV technology and sustainable transportto inform product development.
  • Solving complex analytical challenges and optimising data-driven decision-making.
  • Buildinginteractive data visualisation and calculation toolsfor web applications.
  • Presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the analytics team.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A background inSTEM, computer science, or significant industry experience.
  • A deep understanding ofdata processing and interpretation.

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience developingsimulation models for real-world applications.
  • Proficiency inPython, Pandas, PySpark, or similar.
  • Experience working withbig data, databases (PostgreSQL), or datalakes (Databricks).
  • A solid understanding ofstatistical methods.
  • Confidence workingboth independently and collaboratively.
  • The ability to communicate complex insights to a diverse audience.
