You'll be working for a business that connects traders to energy, commodities, and financial markets. It operates across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, providing deep liquidity, advanced data analytics, and market leading technology.

Backed by an investment grade S&P Global rating, the firm combines massive corporate reach with the agile energy of a startup. It is a stable, high growth workplace perfect for ambitious finance and technology professionals aiming to make an impact on global trade.

This is a newly created founding role where you will act as the vital bridge between the Compliance/Surveillance business and the central AI engineering team. Your mission is to take an existing wishlist of 20 to 25 tangible AI initiatives, design them, and build rough POCs to pitch directly to the Head of Compliance and move into production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify & Design: Audit the compliance, assurance, and surveillance functions to map out 20+ tangible AI opportunities.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Build rough, functional POCs of AI tools to prove value to stakeholders before full scale development.
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate compliance issues into technical specs. Challenge requirements so the central AI team builds exactly what is needed.
  • Handover & Delivery: Manage the clean transition of successful POCs to the central AI team for final production and deployment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You don't need 10 years of AI/RPA experience. Instead, you must show a proven track record over the last 2 years of genuinely transforming a business through AI tools, blended with a core BA/PM skillset.

Must-Haves:

  • AI Champion: Deep understanding of current AI capabilities, large language models, or machine learning applications.
  • Tech BA/PM Background: A strong pedigree in Change management, system design, and technical business analysis.
  • Data Literacy: Ability to work with complex, unstructured, and fragmented data architectures.
  • Regulated Environment:Financial services experience would be beneficial, however the client is open to candidates who have the core AI/Change background within a highly complex and regulated industry.

** PLEASE NOTE THAT NO SPONSORSHIP IS AVAILABLE - CANDIDATES MUST BE LONDON BASED **

Where to Advertise Data Science Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise data science jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that actually reach senior and lead data science talent. Data science spans a broad and often misunderstood spectrum — from statistical modelling and experimental design through to machine learning engineering, product analytics and AI research. The strongest candidates identify firmly with specific subdisciplines and are frustrated by adverts that conflate data scientist with data analyst, business intelligence developer or machine learning engineer. General job boards produce high application volumes for data roles but consistently fail to match specialist data science profiles with the right opportunities. This guide, published by DataScienceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise data science roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
