Senior GIS Specialist

Location: Bicester ( 3 days per week in office, 2 days from home )

Salary : up to 40k basic plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:



Produce accurate GIS maps and plans, including land ownership, access routes, utility layouts, and supporting legal documentation.

Source, analyse, and manage geospatial data from providers such as Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, and utility companies.

*

Provide GIS expertise and insights to internal teams and clients to support planning and operational decisions.

*

Maintain and update mobile and web-based GIS platforms using the latest technology.

*

Ensure data quality through rigorous standards and the use of bespoke geospatial databases.

*

Identify, license, and integrate new data sources to enhance project outcomes.

*

Manage GIS-related tasks and small projects, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.

*

Estimate workloads and advise project teams on timelines and GIS requirements.

*

Mentor and support junior GIS team members by providing guidance, feedback, and conducting performance reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

*

Degree or postgraduate qualification in GIS, Geography, Surveying, or a related field with a GIS focus.

*

Relevant experience in a GIS role, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, or energy sectors.

*

Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS for spatial data management, analysis, and mapping.

*

Experience with web and mobile GIS tools such as ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, Collector, and Survey123.

*

Competence in database development, integration, and geospatial data workflows.

*

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality cartographic outputs.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
