Senior Decision Scientist

Birmingham based role - Up to £75K

I'm currently recruiting for aSenior Decision Scientist to join a growing financial services business, working at the forefront ofSME lending and automated credit decisioning.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the full model lifecycle from identifying the problem and building models through to deployment, monitoring and optimisation - while working closely with Data, Risk and Product teams.

• Develop and deployML and statistical models across credit risk, affordability and pricing
• Own models end-to-end, includingdata, feature engineering, modelling, validation, deployment and monitoring
• Buildmodel monitoring frameworks and performance dashboards
• Explore new data sources, challenger models andA/B testing to improve decisioning
• Turn complex analysis intoclear, commercially focused insights
• Work closely with both technical and senior business stakeholders to influence lending strategy

• StrongMachine Learning experience withinSME lending
• StrongPython and SQL skills
• Proven experience taking models through thefull development lifecycle
• Background inFinTech, lending or automated decisioning
• Good understanding ofUK credit risk and regulatory requirements
• Confident communicator who can bridge the gap betweenData, Risk and Commercial teams

Desirable: Consumer lending experience, model governance/monitoring experience, and a strong commercial mindset with genuine ownership.
