Rate: £583p/d max via Umbrella

Clearance: SC / Eligible for SC

The engineering team is looking to grow substantially during 2025 and is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. This particular role is for an experienced data engineer, preferably with some experience of migration / data mapping / data transformation, who will be responsible analysing and creating the low-level design for mapping data from the existing CESA Returns Store to the CESA Futures ASAS Returns store. They will need to work collaboratively with the ASAS Application Team to understand the solution. They will also lead a team of engineer(s) to carry out the mapping activities.

• Software Architecture & Design Leadership: Define and own the end-to-end software architecture for data components of the new solution, designing a robust, resilient and supportable data service.
  
• Data Modelling: Lead the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  
• Technical Delivery Oversight: Guide data engineering teams through build phases, ensuring adherence to standards, best practices, and delivery timelines.
  
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Understand the roles and responsibilities across technical disciplines-including software engineers, platform engineers, DBAs, and architects-and ensure that data engineering work is effectively aligned and integrated.
