Role Overview:




The position of Senior Data Analyst is key to supporting the expansion of the JD Group across Global markets. Working within the Location Strategy Data team, the role will focus on the development and deployment of spatial data and sales models within our Alteryx and ArcGIS platforms, to support the assessment of investment opportunities across a wide variety of Group fascia and territories.






Responsibilities:

  • Expand the application and support the maintenance of Alteryx workflows.
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to build and deploy sales prediction models.
  • Drive ESRI ArcGIS online & mobile mapping capabilities across business functions.
  • Enrichment of Group loyalty, survey, mobile, banking and online customer data.
  • Source & build geo-demographic and market demand databases to map consumers, catchments, competitors and market share.


  • Support development of JD Site Score Retail Venue rankings to prioritise new store openings.
  • Provide technical support and training for Alteryx, ESRI users.

 


Requirements



  • Degree in Geography, Economics, Business, Maths, Data Science or similar.
  • Interest in consumers and their interaction with store locations and digital channels.
  • Passion for spatial data and statistical analysis.
  • Track record of working with and building prediction models (ie. multiple regression, gravity models).
  • Numerate and analytical with strong level of attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of Alteryx workflows and capabilities.
  • Experience of GIS, models, and analytical software ( Geo-demographics, ArcGIS/QGIS, Power BI)
  • Demonstration of practical application of SQL and Python, plus knowledge of Arcade and HTML will be valued; full training and development provided.
  • A good team player with strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal departments and external suppliers in a timely manner.
