Why Faculty?

We established Faculty in 2014 because we thought that AI would be the most important technology of our time. Since then, we’ve worked with over 350 global customers to transform their performance through human-centric AI. You can read about our real-world impact here.

We don’t chase hype cycles. We innovate, build and deploy responsible AI which moves the needle - and we know a thing or two about doing it well. We bring an unparalleled depth of technical, product and delivery expertise to our clients who span government, finance, retail, energy, life sciences and defence.

Our business, and reputation, is growing fast and we’re always on the lookout for individuals who share our intellectual curiosity and desire to build a positive legacy through technology.

AI is an epoch-defining technology, join a company where you’ll be empowered to envision its most powerful applications, and to make them happen.

About the team

Our National Security and AI Safety business unit is dedicated to advancing the responsible development and deployment of AI in support of national security and global stability. From strengthening mission-critical capabilities across national security and intelligence, to working with frontier labs to provide robust AI safety red teaming and evaluation, we work at the frontier of high-stakes, high-impact missions.

We understand that powerful AI systems bring both transformative opportunities and complex risks and we are proud to partner with Government and the biggest tech organisations in the world to ensure AI is not just transformative but is also secure, trustworthy and safe for all.

Because of the nature of the work we do with our Government clients, you may need to be eligible for UK Developed Vetting (DV) and willing to work on site with our clients from time to time.

About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will lead our security efforts across a number of key projects, bridging the gap between robust engineering and AI safety.

You will play a pivotal role in designing evaluations, test harnesses and "Capture the Flag" scenarios to test the limits of Frontier models. You'll also work on securing the agentic AI systems that we deploy into the heart of government.

If you are a talented engineer with a security mindset who thrives on solving complex, real-world problems, this is your opportunity to shape the future of AI safety.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and building scaffolds to rigorously test the security and capabilities of frontier AI models and agentic systems.

  • Setting technical standards for AI Security across our consulting and AI safety business units, acting as the senior technical authority for deployed security practices.

  • Collaborating within cross-functional teams of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and designers to ensure security is woven into the fabric of the projects you deliver.

  • Automating security processes, vulnerability management, and secure development lifecycles to create resilient, scalable software.

  • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous security learning.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You are a solid engineer with a deep interest in security, possessing strong Python skills and experience working in deployed production systems.

  • You bring a creative and curious mindset to offensive security, ideally with experience in CTF exercises or red-teaming scenarios.

  • You possess hands-on experience with cloud security tools (such as Security Hub, IAM, and WAF) and a firm understanding of identity management protocols like OAuth2.0 and SAML.

  • You have a proven track record in vulnerability management and securing the application development lifecycle, including container scanning and automated testing.

  • You are a clear and persuasive communicator, comfortable acting as a technical advisor to clients and translating complex risks into actionable engineering tasks.

  • You thrive on autonomy and ownership, ready to step into a senior role where you will define best practices in a fast-paced, evolving domain.

Our Interview Process

  1. Talent Team Screen (30 minutes)

  2. Pair Programming Interview (90 minutes)

  3. Cyber Security Experience Interview (60 minutes)

  4. Commercial Interview (60 minutes)

Our Recruitment Ethos

We aim to grow the best team - not the most similar one. We know that diversity of individuals fosters diversity of thought, and that strengthens our principle of seeking truth. And we know from experience that diverse teams deliver better work, relevant to the world in which we live. We’re united by a deep intellectual curiosity and desire to use our abilities for measurable positive impact. We strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, religions and sexual orientations.

Where to Advertise Data Science Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising data science jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. Data science spans a broad and often misunderstood spectrum — from statistical modelling and experimental design through to machine learning engineering, product analytics and AI research. The strongest candidates identify firmly with specific subdisciplines and are frustrated by adverts that conflate data scientist with data analyst, business intelligence developer or machine learning engineer. General job boards produce high application volumes for data roles but consistently fail to match specialist data science profiles with the right opportunities. This guide, published by DataScienceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise data science roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Data Science Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Data science has spent the past decade being described as the sexiest job of the twenty-first century. By 2026, the reality is both more nuanced and more interesting than that label ever suggested. The discipline has matured, fragmented, deepened, and in some respects reinvented itself — and the jobs market has changed with it in ways that create genuine opportunity for those who understand what employers actually want, and genuine difficulty for those still operating on assumptions formed five years ago. The data science jobs market of 2026 is not simply a larger version of what it was three years ago. The generalist data scientist — equally comfortable wrangling data, building models, and presenting insights to the board — is giving way to a more specialised landscape where employers know exactly what problem they are trying to solve and are looking for candidates with the specific depth to solve it. Machine learning engineering, causal inference, experimentation, AI product development, and domain-specific applied science have all emerged as distinct career tracks within what was previously a single, loosely defined profession. At the same time, the arrival of large language models and the broader AI capability wave has both threatened and created data science roles in equal measure. Some of the work that junior data scientists spent their early careers doing — data cleaning, exploratory analysis, basic model building — is being partially automated by AI tooling. But the demand for practitioners who can evaluate AI systems rigorously, apply statistical thinking to complex business problems, and build the data foundations on which AI depends has grown considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what data scientists are expected to build and know, and how to position a data science career that will remain valuable as the field continues to evolve around them. This article breaks down what the UK data science jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.

For professionals exploring opportunities on www.DataScience-Jobs.co.uk , identifying these employers early can provide a competitive advantage in a market with high demand for advanced analytics and machine learning expertise. This article highlights new and high-growth data science employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK startups, scale-ups, and global firms expanding their data science operations locally. All of the companies included have recently raised investment, won high-profile contracts, or significantly scaled their analytics teams.
