Senior Commercial Data Analyst

Are you a commercially minded analyst who enjoys turning complex data into strategic insight? We're recruiting for a Senior Commercial Data Analyst to join a growing commercial function where you'll play a key role in developing pricing models, evaluating investment opportunities, and helping shape commercial decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial modelling and commercial analysis experience who enjoys solving complex problems and influencing business strategy.

You'll develop and maintain sophisticated commercial pricing and financial models that support investment decisions across a portfolio of assets and commercial opportunities. Working closely with finance, commercial, operational and leadership teams, you'll ensure pricing remains competitive, commercially viable and aligned to long-term business objectives.

Alongside your analytical responsibilities, you'll help improve modelling standards, provide commercial insight to senior stakeholders and mentor more junior analysts within the team.

• Build, develop and maintain commercial pricing and financial models
• Analyse costs, revenues, investment returns and commercial performance to support pricing decisions
• Develop scenario models to assess different commercial strategies and market conditions
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and commercial performance to identify opportunities and risks
• Produce clear, data-driven recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Review and improve modelling methodologies, ensuring they remain accurate, transparent and robust
• Partner with finance, commercial and operational teams to understand business performance and future opportunities
• Coach and support junior analysts, promoting best practice across the team

• Experience in commercial analysis, pricing, financial modelling, investment appraisal or a similar analytical role
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using modelling tools such as Python, Power BI or equivalent
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
• The ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into commercial recommendations
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior leaders
• A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail
