Role Overview:
Working with the Risk Quantitative Analytics (QA) business, a global group of specialised quantitative modellers and developers whose activities apply modelling and business expertise to provide innovative and sustainable analytical solutions that support the Bank’s decision making across the business lifecycle.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design analytics and modelling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise.

  • Collaboration with technology to specify any dependencies required for analytical solutions, such as data, development environments and tools.

  • Development of high performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modelling solutions, demonstrating their efficacy to business users and independent validation teams.

  • Implementation of analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software and work with technology to operationalise them.

  • Provision of ongoing support for the continued effectiveness of analytics and modelling solutions to users.

  • Demonstrate conformance to all Enterprise Risk Management Policies, particularly Model Risk Policy.

  • Ensure all development activities are undertaken within the defined control environment.

 

Stakeholder management and leadership:

  • To take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

  • To deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.

  • To support the leadership of a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.

  • If the position has leadership responsibilities, to demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard.



Decision-making and problem solving:

  • Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment

 

Risk and Control Objective:

  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.

  • Demonstrate accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.

This is a permanent full-time position located in London with hybrid working. Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our client’s now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
