Telford (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite per Week)

£340 per day (Inside IR35)

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tester to join a high-profile programme delivering complex data and technology solutions within a secure environment.

This is a hands-on testing role where you will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and reporting on both manual and automated testing activities. You'll work closely with project teams, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure quality standards are met throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The Role

As a QA Tester, you will:

Define and document test approaches and testing strategies.

Create and maintain test coverage and traceability matrices.

Analyse business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts.

Perform Functional System Testing and Integration Testing.

Support End-to-End (E2E) testing activities.

Prepare and manage test data requirements.

Identify, investigate, and track defects through to resolution.

Produce regular test status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Apply Risk-Based Testing principles to maximise test effectiveness.

Collaborate with development teams, business users, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Active SC Clearance (essential)

ISTQB Foundation Certification

Strong experience in Functional System Testing

Experience with test automation

Proficiency with testing tools such as Postman

Experience working within Agile delivery environments

Strong understanding of Risk-Based Testing methodologies

Experience testing Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Migration projects

Strong SQL and database testing skills (Oracle or similar)

AWS experience

Experience producing Test Approach and Test Completion documentation

Proficiency with Jira, Zephyr Scale, Git, or similar tools

ETL testing experience

Integration Testing experience

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

Denodo experience

Experience working on large-scale data transformation programmes
