Power BI Developer - Dudley

Power BI Developer with excellent experience in Power BI, Dax, SQL, Data warehousing & data quality is required by a leading professional services company near Dudley.

This is a brand-new role for the company, due to growth. As the Power BI Developer will own and develop the organisation's Power BI reporting environment, delivering accurate and actionable management information through semantic models, DAX measures, dashboards and reports.

Working with Data Engineering and stakeholders across the business, the role will ensure reporting is reliable, reconciled, performant and maintainable.

Experience required:

* Advanced hands-on Power BI experience across DAX, semantic modelling, dashboards, optimisation and deployment.
* Strong SQL and data warehousing skills, including dimensional data models.
* Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data-platform environments.
* Strong knowledge of data quality, governance, reconciliation, testing and security.
* Professional-services, i.e. Legal, accounting, or banking reporting experience desirable, alongside exposure to finance/ERP platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

* Own and support the Power BI reporting environment, ensuring accurate, performant and well-documented reporting.
* Develop and maintain semantic models, DAX measures, dashboards and reports aligned to agreed KPIs.
* Lead knowledge transfer and transition from external suppliers into the internal team.
* Ensure strong data validation, reconciliation and traceability across reporting and source systems.
* Collaborate with Data Engineering and business teams to deliver reliable, reusable reporting solutions.
* Develop reporting across key legal-sector measures including WIP, billing, revenue, utilisation and profitability.
* Maintain appropriate security, access and governance controls within Power BI.
* Support acquired businesses and new entities through consistent reporting models and standards.
Drive continuous improvement in performance, usability, documentation and reporting quality.

The role is based near Dudley, and are looking to pay a starting salary between £50,000 - £65,000 + excellent benefits, including flexible working (1 - 2 days a week in the office).
