Lead Analyst - Director of Econometrics

A global marketing and media analytics business is looking for aLead Analyst - Director of Econometrics to play a key role in building and growing a newly established UK-based data science function. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who combines deep technical MMM expertise with strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

The Role

You'll lead the delivery of Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) projects for a range of clients, while helping shape the direction and capabilities of a growing data science team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building and implementing MMM solutions from scratch
  • Using open-source MMM frameworks such asGoogle Meridian, Robyn and PyMC
  • Leading end-to-end client delivery, from model development through to recommendations and business impact
  • Ensuring models are robust, reliable and commercially relevant
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting insights and strategic recommendations
  • Balancing hands-on modelling work with project leadership and stakeholder engagement
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the wider data science function
About You
  • 8-10 years' experience within Data Science, Marketing Science or Analytics
  • Strong Python expertise
  • Proven experience building MMM models from scratch
  • Deep understanding of statistical modelling techniques and model evaluation
  • Previous experience within an agency, consultancy or client-facing analytics environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and client presentation skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Passionate about building processes, capabilities and teams from the ground up
