Join a global business on its AI transformation journey, leading the identification and delivery of high-impact AI use cases that improve productivity, efficiency and decision-making. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and Technical AI specialists to turn AI opportunities into real business outcomes while driving adoption and organisational change.

Client Details

Our client, a global industrial organisation, is seeking a Global Product Owner for AI to act as the key link between business functions and emerging AI capabilities.

This role will be responsible for identifying, shaping, prioritising and driving the adoption of AI-powered transformation.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership and technical AI specialists, you will ensure that initiatives deliver measurable operational value, improve productivity, reduce errors and accelerate business outcomes.

You will develop and implement the AI agenda, developing use cases & product roadmaps, conduct requirements gathering and ensure successful adoption. While technical teams build and maintain the underlying AI platforms and infrastructure, you will determine where AI can create the greatest business impact and ensure delivered solutions achieve sustainable usage and value.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong product ownership, IT transformation/change management capability and a passion for AI technology.

Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end AI use-case pipeline, from discovery and qualification through to prioritisation and delivery.
  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable business benefits.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand business challenges, redesign processes and define AI-enabled solutions.
  • Evaluate AI opportunities based on value, feasibility, business impact and strategic alignment.
  • Drive adoption and user engagement across deployed AI solutions.
  • Lead AI enablement, awareness and literacy initiatives across the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes to ensure responsible and compliant AI deployment.
  • Develop business cases, benefit hypotheses and value tracking measures for AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to prioritise AI development activity against delivery capacity.
  • Provide recommendations on project approvals and investment decisions.
  • Continuously evaluate deployed solutions, retiring initiatives that fail to demonstrate adoption or business value.
Key Activities
  • Conduct regular discovery workshops across business functions and operational teams.
  • Manage and maintain the AI use-case backlog and delivery roadmap.
  • Track initiative ownership, progress, adoption levels and realised benefits.
  • Produce regular value and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Lead AI user communities, champion networks and training programmes.
  • Identify and develop citizen developers and AI champions within the business.
  • Monitor solution adoption and intervene where engagement falls below expectations.
  • Prepare governance and approval documentation for AI initiatives.
  • Communicate evolving AI capabilities and opportunities across the organisation.
Success Measures
  • Number of qualified AI use cases progressing into delivery.
  • Conversion rate from idea through to production deployment.
  • User adoption and engagement across implemented AI solutions.
  • Measurable business value delivered against agreed objectives.
  • Growth in AI usage and capability across the organisation.
  • Expansion of business-led AI development and innovation communities.

Profile

About you:

  • Business-facing: at home in a sales office and on a factory floor, and credible in both.
  • A facilitator: gets a mixed room from problem to validated concept without the loudest voice owning the outcome.
  • Evidence-driven about value: a benefit that cannot be measured is a hypothesis, not a result.
  • Technically literate enough to be credible with engineers without pretending to be one.
  • Works comfortably across cultures and time zones, and travels to sites when the work is there; discovery happens where the process runs.

Professional experience:

  • Five or more years in consulting, transformation or product roles, with demonstrable AI use-case delivery.
  • Strong facilitation and design-thinking practice, evidenced by workshops run and concepts that shipped.
  • Adoption and change-management experience; a Microsoft 365 Copilot or comparable enterprise AI rollout is a strong advantage.
  • Value-tracking discipline: baselines, benefit hypotheses and realised-value reporting that survived finance scrutiny.
  • Enough technical literacy to qualify feasibility honestly: knows what an agent, a model and a data boundary are, and what each costs.

Job Offer

  • Permanent Global Product Owner - AI Business Partner role based in Altrincham.
  • Salary of £60,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Bonus.
  • Pension.
  • Highly Flexible working.
  • Opportunity for global travel.
