Robert Half is partnering with a high-growth FinTech business in the City of London to recruit aFinancial Analyst. This is a newly created role that will be instrumental in building and developing the company's FP&A and business intelligence capability.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, automation, and technology. While the core FP&A responsibilities are relatively straightforward, the business is looking for someone who can go beyond traditional forecasting and reporting to drive automation, improve decision-making, and deliver meaningful business insights.

Key Focus Areas

FP&A & Commercial Finance

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the Group.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling.
  • Produce management information and board reporting packs.
  • Support long-term business planning and performance tracking.
  • Deliver commercial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial performance.

Data, Automation & Business Intelligence

  • Build and enhance reporting capabilities through Power BI and data analytics tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual finance and reporting processes.
  • Create dashboards and visualisations that provide actionable insights to management.
  • Improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting efficiency across the business.
  • Utilise AI and automation tools to increase productivity and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop scalable reporting solutions that support business growth.

Strategic Support

  • Work closely with the CFO to develop a dedicated FP&A capability.
  • Support Board and executive-level reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Regulatory Finance teams.
  • Provide insight into business performance, cash generation, and key operational metrics.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or investment analysis.
  • Background in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or other analytical finance roles.
  • Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, FX, or a high-growth environment is advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Data-driven mindset with an interest in automation, AI, and improving reporting processes.
  • Able to turn complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
