We're currently looking for a passionate and innovative Data Scientist to join us in Cwmbran.

As a Data Scientist, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and deploying advanced AI models that solve complex business challenges across Safran Seats. Collaborating with the AI Project Leader and cross-functional teams, you'll identify AI opportunities, define project requirements, and drive initiatives that push the boundaries of data-driven solutions in aerospace.

You'll leverage Python and lmachine learning frameworks to build scalable AI algorithms, process complex datasets, and create impactful reports and visualizations for stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure robust, compliant AI solutions that align with industry standards.

What You'll Bring:

Essential:

Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

Excellent programming skills in Python; knowledge of R, SQL, or other languages is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset ideally focused on AI and machine learning

Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Good project management skills, able to handle multiple projects concurrently

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Collaborative team player, committed to continuous improvement

Desirable:

Extensive experience with Python and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for AI model deployment

Knowledge of aircraft design and development, including ergonomics and testing

Understanding of aerospace industry regulations and standards
