Your New Role

Our client, a leading automotive organisation, is looking for a
Report Modeller & Developer to join its Finance & Management
Information team in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting
opportunity to play a key role in the development of a strategic
data platform, supporting the migration from legacy data
warehouse and reporting systems to a modern Azure Data Lake
environment.

You will design and develop scalable data models, semantic
layers, calculations, KPIs and reporting solutions, working
closely with Finance, Data Governance, IT and wider business
stakeholders. Using technologies including Databricks, Azure Data
Factory, SQL and Power BI, you will help transform complex data
into trusted, reusable assets that drive business insight and
improve reporting efficiency. The role also offers the
opportunity to contribute to data architecture, automation and
advanced analytics, while mentoring and supporting a Data
Apprentice.

Ensuring Your Success

To be successful in this role, you will have strong experience
with Databricks, Azure Data Factory and SQL, alongside a solid
background in data modelling, schema design and semantic layer
development. You will be confident developing Power BI dashboards
and reports, with strong DAX knowledge and an understanding of
Azure Data Lake architecture, ETL processes, dimensional
modelling and medallion architecture. Experience with Power BI
Report Builder and Microsoft productivity and automation tools
would also be beneficial, while knowledge of Cognos would be
advantageous.

You will be an analytical and proactive problem solver, able to
translate business requirements into practical, scalable data
solutions. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively in an
agile environment where priorities and requirements may evolve.
Experience coaching or mentoring others would be valuable,
alongside a passion for continuous improvement, data quality and
delivering meaningful business outcomes.

In Return

You will have the opportunity to join an established organisation
at an exciting stage of its data transformation journey, helping
shape modern reporting capabilities and influencing how data is
modelled, managed and used across the business. You will work
with a broad range of stakeholders, develop your technical
expertise across the Microsoft Azure and Power BI ecosystem, and
contribute to projects with genuine business impact. The role is
based in Milton Keynes, with hybrid working available and a
minimum expectation of three days per week on site. Flexibility
will be required to support workshops, stakeholder meetings and
key project milestones.
