Data & Insights Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £52,000
London (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)

I'm currently working with a well-known national charity looking to hire a Data & Insights Manager to lead and develop their growing insight function. This is a newly created role, managing two established analysts and playing a key part in supporting an ambitious new fundraising strategy.

The organisation is looking to move beyond traditional reporting and make much better use of its data to understand audiences, inform fundraising decisions and generate genuinely actionable insight. You'll help develop areas such as audience profiling and segmentation, propensity modelling and lifetime value analysis, while ensuring existing reporting and data selections continue to be delivered effectively.

The role would suit an experienced Insight Manager, Senior Data Analyst or Analytics Manager who combines a strong analytical background with the communication skills and credibility to work with senior stakeholders. Charity or fundraising experience would be advantageous but isn't essential, with strong transferable analytical experience equally considered.

The Data & Insights Manager will:

  • Lead and support two established analysts, providing direction and helping develop the organisation's insight capability
  • Move the function beyond reporting into more advanced analysis, including segmentation, audience profiling, propensity modelling and lifetime value
  • Use tools such as SQL and Power BI to turn complex data into meaningful, actionable insight
  • Work closely with fundraising and senior stakeholders to ensure insight directly informs decision-making and strategy
  • Bring strong analytical experience alongside confident stakeholder management; Python, FastStats and charity/fundraising experience would be advantageous but aren't essential
