Data Architect – Hybrid (2 days/week in Reading)
Are you ready to define how data powers decision-making, AI, and innovation in a scaling SaaS business? We’re hiring a Data Architect to lead the creation and delivery of a multi-year data strategy. This high-impact role involves designing modern data architectures, embedding governance frameworks, and mentoring technical teams — enabling analytics and AI across the organisation.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Defining and owning the company-wide data strategy.
- Designing scalable data architectures (warehouses, lakes, models).
- Embedding governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and ensuring compliance.
- Introducing and optimising Azure data tools (Fabric, Synapse, Purview, Data Factory).
- Supporting AI and analytics initiatives through secure, structured data.
- Mentoring technical architects and uplifting data capability across teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, or similar.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, Python, PySpark, and Azure data technologies.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
