My Higher Education related Client is urgently recruiting for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, validating and presenting data to a range of stakeholders. You will produce accurate reports, support statutory data returns, develop reporting solutions and help drive continuous improvement through data-led insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to support business decisions.
  • Produce accurate, timely reports and dashboards for a variety of audiences.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools using Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL and other relevant systems.
  • Support colleagues by translating complex technical information into clear, accessible insights.
  • Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and accuracy across reporting activities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
About You

You will be an analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and a passion for working with data. You will be confident communicating with both technical and non-technical colleagues and able to present information in a clear and engaging way.

Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using systems and tools for accessing, analysing and visually presenting data.
  • Working knowledge of VBA and SQL.
  • Experience producing statutory returns, including HESA and HESES.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple, accessible language.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment with a collaborative approach.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience using survey software.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
