Hybrid working (2 days in office) Autonomy in role Opportunity for career growth

Digital Data Analyst, E-Commerce - £35,000 - Leicester (Hybrid, 2 days in office)

This is a varied analyst role sitting within a small, close-knit E-Commerce team, reporting directly to the Head of E-Commerce. If you enjoy having your hands in multiple projects at once and like the autonomy to manage your own day, it's worth reading on.

What the role involves:

You'll be pulling data from a range of digital platforms, cleaning it, and turning it into something useful. That means regular reporting, presenting insights to stakeholders with clear recommendations, and helping the team make better decisions. Alongside the analysis work, you'll be involved in onboarding and supporting platform users, contributing to system testing, and picking up helpdesk queries when they land in the team.

There's an honest split to flag: the role is currently around 60% admin, 40% analysis. That will shift significantly over the next 3-6 months as the team actively reduces the admin burden, with the target being closer to 70% analysis. If you want a role that grows with you quickly, that trajectory is genuine and deliberate.

What you'll need:

  • Solid experience in data analysis, ideally within a digital or e-commerce environment
  • Power BI or a comparable BI tool; you need to be comfortable building and presenting reports
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong communication skills; you'll be translating data into recommendations for non-technical audiences
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own priorities
  • SQL and an understanding of APIs or data exports are a bonus, not a barrier to applying.

What kind of person fits:

Someone who takes ownership, asks questions when something doesn't look right, and doesn't need constant direction. You'll be the most analytically capable person in the team, so there's a real opportunity to make your mark and demonstrate the value good analysis can bring. The company is growing, hits its targets, and rewards people when it does.

If this sounds like your kind of role, get in touch with your CV and we'll take it from there.
