The role enables access to trusted, timely, and actionable insights by developing high quality reporting, intuitive visual dashboards, and scalable self service capabilities. This role transforms complex data into clear stories that support faster, better decisions at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality reports, dashboards and analysis to help the organisation monitor performance and make better decisions.
  • Ensure BI outputs are reliable, consistent and aligned to agreed definitions, enabling a single version of the truth.

  • Assist with adhoc requests from internal customers, understanding the business need and developing requirements.
  • Create user-friendly BI products in Power BI (and emerging tools as the analytics stack evolves) that simplify complex information for non-technical audiences.
  • Support the business in developing self-service behaviours.
  • Champion visual and analytical best practice.
  • Collaborate with Data Platform teams to ensure datasets used for reporting are accurate, well-structured and optimised for analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity and data security across all reporting and adhere to the principles of Data Governance.
  • Work closely with operational, commercial, finance and clinical teams to understand their decision needs and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations that improve performance, reduce risk or create commercial value.
  • Support colleagues in using BI tools effectively, including training on reporting platforms.
  • Support a variety of projects impacting different areas of the business.
  • Support the transition of reporting and analytics towards tools such as Power BI and Fabric.
  • Share knowledge, coach colleagues and contribute to standards that increase consistency, reusability and efficiency across analytics.

Where to Advertise Data Science Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise data science jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that actually reach senior and lead data science talent. Data science spans a broad and often misunderstood spectrum — from statistical modelling and experimental design through to machine learning engineering, product analytics and AI research. The strongest candidates identify firmly with specific subdisciplines and are frustrated by adverts that conflate data scientist with data analyst, business intelligence developer or machine learning engineer. General job boards produce high application volumes for data roles but consistently fail to match specialist data science profiles with the right opportunities. This guide, published by DataScienceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise data science roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
