We're partnering with a leading global technology consultancy to recruit an experienced AWS Data Solution Architect. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering modern, enterprise-scale data platforms that enable advanced analytics, AI, GenAI, and data-driven decision making across some of the UK's most complex and high-profile environments.

You'll work alongside highly skilled architects, engineers, and data specialists, helping organisations transform their data capabilities using cutting-edge AWS technologies and modern cloud architectures.

The Opportunity

As an AWS Data Solution Architect, you will take ownership of end-to-end solution design, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and governed cloud data platforms. You'll lead architecture decisions, shape delivery roadmaps, and provide technical leadership across large-scale transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect modern AWS data platforms supporting analytics, AI/ML and GenAI initiatives.

Build scalable data integration and ingestion frameworks using AWS Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge and DMS.

Design secure lakehouse and data warehouse solutions leveraging Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Redshift and Athena.

Enable AI and machine learning capabilities through governed, feature-ready datasets and integration with AWS AI services.

Lead platform governance, metadata management, lineage and data quality initiatives.

Define AWS multi-account operating models, landing zones, security guardrails and environment strategies.

Drive platform performance, scalability, resilience and cost optimisation.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.

Lead cloud migration and modernisation programmes from legacy data estates to modern AWS architectures.

Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, data scientists and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.Desirable Experience

Public sector delivery experience.

Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning and GenAI initiatives.

AWS certifications such as:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect

AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate

AWS Certified Security - Speciality

Experience with:

Terraform

AWS CDK

CloudFormation

AWS CodePipeline

AWS CodeBuild

Git-based CI/CD workflowsSecurity Clearance Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) Clearance. This typically requires continuous UK residency for the previous five years, alongside meeting other government security clearance criteria.
